Muon Solutions (“the Company”) has expanded its service portfolio to sustainable energy sector. We are now able to offer consultation to clients operating in the fields of geothermal energy and wind power.
The Company is able to assist, for example, early stage geothermal exploration projects by offering project reviews, risk evaluations and optimisations, or performing heat-flow, reservoir and fracture mapping. We build 3D models, characterise geothermal reservoirs, conduct energy potential investigations and launch studies for reducing detrimental elements in process waters. We can contribute to geothermal energy projects from shallow low enthalpy environments to ultra-deep high enthalpy depths. We can also conduct unique bedrock density and structural heterogeneity surveys by applying our in-house muon detection technologies. Our probes offer a new and potentially valuable tool to locate underground discontinuities with adequate precision. Those can be, for example, sedimentary layering, boundaries between different rock units, and intersecting fracture networks. Regarding wind power projects, we have participated offshore wind farm projects in Denmark.
Due to all said, the Company is well positioned to provide unusual insights, technical know-how and geophysical modelling not only to clients conducting geothermal exploration but also to those dealing with wind farms.
