Muon Solutions’ representatives arrange a road show in October – November 2018. During a frantic five or so weeks, Muon Solutions is presented in well over ten different events across Central and Northern Europe. We give talks in several of these occasions. OSKARSHAMN, SWEDEN
Muon Solutions’ participanted the BSUIN Undeground Laboratory Workshop in Oskarshamn, Sweden. The Baltic Sea Underground Innovation Network (BSUIN) project aims to make the underground laboratories in the Baltic Sea region more accessible for innovation, business development and science by improving the information about the underground laboratories, the operation, user experiences and safety.

The EAGE Annual 2018 is set to be the largest and most comprehensive multi-disciplinary geoscience event in the world, gathering together leading authorities in the scientific world with industry experts and some of the world’s leading companies in energy and engineering. The organiser of the conference, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), expects more than 6,000 delegates from around the globe to attend the event of which theme this year is “Opportunities presented by the energy transition”.

Northern Industry 2018 is the largest and only industrial trade fair in northern part of Finland where heavy industries and high-tech companies work together. The event gathers 5000 professionals from mining, steel and forest industry as well as from energy sector, chemical industry and from numerous service providers and equipment manufacturers.

Muon Solutions took part in the 11th Fennoscandian Exploration and Mining (FEM 2017) conference. FEM conference, founded in 1998, is one of the largest and most significant mineral industry events in Europe.

HELSINKI, FINLAND
Personnel of the Muon Solutions participated in the science-based Helsinki Challenge idea competition as part of the Team Myonit. In Helsinki Challenge, the teams of scientists from ten Finnish universities work on solutions that help the humankind reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In 2016-2017, a total of 110 teams applied for the competition, including 340 experts from Finnish universities and over 160 other organizations. Out of these, the pre-qualification stage jury chose 20 semi-finalist teams for the accelerator programme. The ideas had to be science-based, solution-oriented, impactful, novel and creative to proceed to the semi-finals. The Team Myonit succeeded to be one of the competition’s chosen semi-finalists.
